Regenerative tourism has gained significant attention in recent years, aiming not only to make tourism sustainable but also to leave places in a better condition than they were before the arrival of tourists. It goes beyond maintaining the status quo; it seeks to repair existing damage and create a long-term positive impact on the nature, society, culture, and economy of a place through tourism.
However, there is a lot of literature on regenerative tourism and little practice. The Regenerative Tourism Initiative is here to translate theory into lived and shared practice.
We will spread the approach from Switzerland throughout Europe. Because we love to travel and are aware of the significance of tourism. And because we are convinced that regenerative tourism has the potential to contribute to the healing of the world place by place.

We make Regenerative Tourism tangible. Together with European tourism actors we embark on a journey of discovery through central Switzerland. By visiting, analyzing and developing regional best practices, we create a shared understanding and a methodology of Regenerative Tourism in practice, inspire ideas and strengthen the important networks between upcoming agents of change.
